Report Misuse

How to report violations of DealAtlas policies

DealAtlas is committed to ensuring that our platform is used responsibly and in compliance with our Terms of Service, Responsible Use Policy, and applicable law. If you become aware of misuse of the DealAtlas platform or data obtained through it, we want to know.

1. WHAT COUNTS AS MISUSE

The following are examples of conduct that violate DealAtlas policies and should be reported:

1.1 Data Misuse

Using DealAtlas contact data for unsolicited mass marketing, spam, or robocalling campaigns

Using platform data to build a competing property owner database or intelligence product

Sharing, reselling, or distributing DealAtlas data to unauthorized third parties

Using DealAtlas data for tenant screening, credit decisions, employment screening, or any FCRA-regulated purpose

Using platform data to train AI models or machine learning systems without written authorization

1.2 Platform Misuse

Unauthorized scraping, data harvesting, or automated extraction of platform content

Attempting to access another user's account or data without authorization

Using the platform to impersonate another person, company, or entity

Circumventing platform security controls, access restrictions, or usage limits

Using the platform in connection with illegal activities, fraud, or deceptive practices

1.3 Contact Data Misuse

Contacting property owners identified through DealAtlas in a manner that violates TCPA, CAN-SPAM, or state telemarketing laws

Ignoring or circumventing Do-Not-Contact flags displayed on the platform

Using DealAtlas-sourced contact information to harass, threaten, or deceive property owners

2. HOW TO REPORT

To report suspected misuse of the DealAtlas platform or data, contact us at:

When submitting a report, please include as much of the following as possible:

Your name and contact information (reports may be submitted anonymously, but we may be limited in our ability to investigate without contact details)

Description of the suspected misuse and how you became aware of it

The name or account information of the user or company involved, if known

Any supporting evidence such as screenshots, emails, or logs

The approximate date(s) the conduct occurred

3. WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU REPORT

Upon receiving a misuse report, DealAtlas will acknowledge receipt within 2 business days, review the report and conduct an internal investigation, take appropriate action, and follow up if additional information is needed.

DealAtlas does not disclose the outcome of internal investigations to third parties except where required by law. We appreciate reports submitted in good faith and will not retaliate against anyone who reports suspected misuse in good faith.

4. DMCA & COPYRIGHT CLAIMS

If you believe that content on the DealAtlas platform infringes your copyright, please submit a DMCA notice to legal@dealatlas.com with the information required under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), including identification of the copyrighted work, the infringing material, and your contact information. False DMCA claims may result in liability under federal law.
